I’m a Swansea born artist working from my studio in the Uplands area of the city. My experience of art has developed along a scenic route of multiple vocations including aerial rigging, welding, tree felling in California, busking in Europe, carpet fitting, carpentry and more recently as a library designer for schools and various institutions. I have a wide range of interests that I express through a variety of mediums, Familiarity with carpentry and metalwork has helped to develop an aptitude and feel for solid materials, experience as a designer has given me a useful knowledge of colour and shape.

"Paddington Station" by Frank Austin My objective when creating a painting is simply to produce a pleasing picture without hidden meanings or messages, to be interpreted by the viewer as he or she wishes. My objectives for the future include a general desire for continuing improvement of all my styles of art, in particular with the study of the more abstract. |

I’ve had various exhibitions in the Swansea area, the last one being in the Brunswick, entitled “A tale of two cities, Swansea and Bath”. Presently I am exhibiting jointly in the new Swansea art Gallery at the Junction, Blackpill (Mumbles road Gallery) and a solo exhibition of framed prints at the Bar Reef, Walter road, Swansea. |
