Hellman lives in Pontrhydfendigaid in Ceredigion and has won various
prizes and commissions for his work.

After
regular army service in Germany Glenn Hellman attended Walthamstow
School of Art and then Hornsey College where he completed
a NDD followed by a postgraduate year studying electrotyping.
At Hornsey Glenn was taught by, amongst others, Hubert Dalwood
and Robert Adams, for whom he worked as an assistant for a
couple of years.
Glenn
Hellman has had a number of teaching posts over the years.
These were at Southampton School of Art, Winchester College
of Art, Morley College and, until 1983, the University of
London Goldsmiths College.

Glenn Hellman has
exhibited in group shows, both by invitation and selection,
in London and the Provinces and has had four one-man shows
- at the Leicester Galleries (2),
Roland Browse and Delbanco,
and The Morley Gallery.

Glenn hellman has
work in private collections in England and in the National
gallery of Wales. He also has sculpture in the USA and Australia.
He has also won
a number of prizes during his career, notably one at the National
Eisteddfod and also two competitive commissions. The first
of the commissions being in Leeds and another in Caernafon
(Cofeb Llywelyn). He was also commissioned to produce a cross
for St. George's Chapel, Windsor, but this was cancelled due
to the untimely death of the architect.
