NEW INITIATIVE TO EXPAND THE SUCCESS OF ARTCYMRU AND OPEN THE DOOR FOR AMATEUR OR EMERGING ARTISTS...
The main Artcymru.co.uk site has changed the face of art in Wales. Prior to its launch in 2000 there was nothing at all like it. Based on a magazine format, Artcymru blazed a trail within the art community that has been impossible to match, even the Arts Council of Wales has been unable to provide the service Artcymru has continued to provide WITHOUT FUNDING.
The Artcymru ethos has been one of creating a supporting community in which artists can thrive and display their work for the world to see. With this in mind it has been impossible to ignore the thousands of amateur and emerging artists out there who have yet to make that break through on the Welsh art stage. FIRST SIGHT aims to provide that first step up to the world stage.

At Present - all the left hand column links return you to the main Artcymru site. In a few weeks time they'll lead to a new set of pages in which our new and emerging artists can showcase their work.
